Obama, and the bet I could not take back

 

On January 21^st (3 days before my birthday) 2009 I declared to all of my liberal friends that I would give now president Obama 6 months before I criticized him at all.  It was a rough six months, what made it worse however is I told them all that if Obama found a way to “fix things” I would vote democrat for the rest of my life.  Just straight down the party line.  This one gave me some pause.  There was a good chance I would have to be the person I hate so much, an uninformed voter. 

Most people never expected me to carry out on this promise, but you see just like a Lanister, and never like a Baldwin, I always make good on my debts.  The problem was I didn’t know how to define Obama as a success.  Lucky for me the guy never had any.  Here is some of his best work however.

#1 we all know the Bush administration championed and got T.A.R.P. passed.  What most people don’t know is that Bush only used half of the funds, Obama forced banks to take the second half of the funds.

#2 most people will jump up and down and claim that the auto bailout was a success.  Nothing could be farther from the truth, as demonstrated here, here, and here.

#3 he doesn’t know the difference between a door and a window

#4 the stimulus, by the way… did you notice I’m not even really explaining these anymore?  I’m just saying them and you already know they are failures?  Yeah I thought so.

#5 Obamacare/tax/mandate to be honest I’m not sure what to call it.  All I know is that no one is happy about it.  Sure we all took sides, but find me one person who understands what’s going on, and likes Obamacare/tax/mandate

#6 His administration can’t even get simple Russian words down.

So yeah, not all of that was in the first 6 months, but it’s all stuff that he started kicking around just before he was inaugurated.  I think it’s fair.  I know a lot of you think this is old news, but honestly all it is, is a reminder of the 180 we all thought we were getting.  I was really sweating in my seat those first few months.  I bought in to the hype that this guy had the answers.  Now I know they weren’t the answers I agreed with, but you know answers. 

All I know right now is I’m just relieved that this guy turned out to be politically inept, and intellectually void of any kind of reasonable idea that isn’t just parroting out “THE RICH DON’T PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE”.
