• Woohoo! We're wheels down on Mars with the Curiosity rover. Too bad it takes so long to send commands to and receive confirmation from the rover on whether or not we made that double back flip jump off a Martian sand dune...Radio Shack toy cars are kind of weak from this distance, even fancy ones.
• The Obama campaign is releasing an app that shows which of your neighbors are democrats. That's a bit creepy, honestly, as if they want all democrats to be some kind of collective, connected through an iPhone. Maybe they are awaiting transmissions from the leader.
Well, that app isn't out yet, but it's next.
• So Condeleeza Rice, Nikki Haley, and Mike Huckabee are slated to speak at the GOP convention...which means they are probably not on the short list for VP.
Curiously missing from this list of speakers is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Is this a hint?
