Night Shift

Well, I don't make too much of a habit of talking about my personal life on here, because that is expressly why I hate most blogs to begin with...people talking about their crappy lives and such. Who cares about that? I might have deviated from that when I discussed rolling my Jeep, but I found too much humor in the whole thing to not share it. That, and it set me up for an excuse to show off my new Jeep, which...come on, I'm a guy here. I gotta show off my new car.

In this case, my personal life effects my blogging here, so I should probably share that much of it. If you get bored, just comment with a yawn or something. That way I know who to ban from this website.

I'm working a rather odd night shift schedule for the next couple months. Super secret stuff, can't talk about it really, but it involves a lot of coffee and ramen noodles. I know that's pretty cryptic, but that's all it really involves. Well, that and leather boots. Figure that combination out...

Anyway, on my days off I have to stay up all night to maintain my schedule. So I guess that makes them nights off really since I am not awake during the day much. Like a vampire...without the sparkles. Or the vampire part.

I should probably get to the point, and that is this: new posts from me will probably come in the wee hours of the night for those that live on the east coast and associated time zones. Sure, I could probably schedule my posts to pop up during normal times...but what's the fun in that?

I like to blog live (except for this post which was scheduled). So if you like to be awake during the day (you weirdo), you can look to Arik and Less and Hunter and Lactose and Walkingdead to keep you entertained. But keep an eye out for some late night ninja posting by yours truly.

  1. Dude, night shift sucks. I did night shift for 9 years, and have been on evening shift for six, which sucks almost as bad. Good luck getting through!

  2. I don't know how you guys do it. I'm up by 5:30 every morning and in bed by ten (well, on the good days). I'm sure it's gotta be hard on your family as well. Hang in there!

  3. Personally, I love working at night. I am more awake then.

    1. I didn't mind the shift so much, as I am a night owl. It's just that everything I want to do tends to fall in the time I have to be getting ready and then driving to work. If they held concerts and sporting events at 10 am, it would be the ideal shift.
