Now our government is promising Russia that we won't kill or torture Snowden. We promise. Well, that's kind of us. We'll also be nice enough to allow him a temporary passport so they can send him home.
Then Russia says, "We have never surrendered anyone, and we will never do so in the future.”
I feel like I'm in a movie. All this spying and deal-making with a big corrupt power versus one courageous man. It's the kind of movie Hollywood would've made about the Russians back in the 50's.
The problem is, I think in this one WE'RE the bad guys.
